An atmospheric, introspective feeling pervades and is carried through to the  Gotham City series. In the  multiple exposure  self-portraits, Katja navigates the streets of New York city wearing a Batman mask. The Images call to mind questions of multiple self-hood while the mask references the anonymity that is granted by an urban environment.
